The Mechanical Technology Unit consists of a complete machine shop for working with metal, Plexiglass, and other materials. Skilled technicians design, fabricate, or repair complex scientific and mechanical instruments and carry out jobs in precision machining, brazing, soldering, welding, woodworking, sheet metal working, Plexiglass fabrication and vacuum pump reconstruction.
