HeteroAnalysis: Help File
This is the help file for HeteroAnalysis, a program for analyzing sedimentation equilibrium (SE) data from analytical ultracentrifugation experiments. This program will carry out global analysis of ideal and nonideal single species, homo-association reactions, homo-association reactions with incompetent species present, and complex hetero-association reactions. The program integrates data reduction procedures in four modules: experimental design (simulation), data processing, data analysis and data output. The design package can be used to perform experimental simulations to test whether the parameters of interest are experimentally accessible and to ensure that the data acquisition conditions are devised to maximize the information content. The data processing module encompasses the import of files and editing/ background subtraction functions. The analysis module implements global nonlinear least squares fitting of SE data to a range of pre-programmed model functions. The module also includes options to perform confidence interval testing and error-space analysis. The graphical and numerical results of the data and error analyses are produced within the data output module and are integrated within a "notebook" or log file.
